It was an excellent tour. Traveling in a small group is a good way to immerse yourself in the local culture. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Itinerary

I enjoyed the in-depth look ay Hokkaido.

Lodging

The rooms at Lake Toya were the best. Although the Shinagawa Prince has an excellent location, the beds were hard and you could not find out the restaurant opening hours nor information about their pool (which was closed).

Food

Nice variety of food. I wish more of the food items at buffets had English labels so I can know what I am eating.

Guides

What can you say when the company owner is your guide? He obviously loves Japan and did a good job of showing Hokkaido to us.

The handbook is good, but needs updating.
